|KineticaRT Studio -
Video over IP CCTV System|
A customer required a CCTV system that would integrate seamlessly into a control and data acquisition system for a large test facility. To provide the required functionality, performance and scalability, KineticaRT selected AXIS video over IP servers and a Moxa Technologies serial device server. The system also includes a number of PCs, data acquisition modules, PLCs and audio over IP intercom and public address system all communicating via Ethernet.

In the core of the data acquisition on IrriWise Manager Software are KineticaRT logic components. Channels and Expressions come together to provide data to all application modules in real-time. |Genome Sequencer - System Design, Software Development and Integration|
Our customer, a pioneer in the development of fundamentally new technologies in the fields of genetic analysis and proteomics, commissioned KineticaRT to develop control hardware and software for their prototype fast Genome Sequencer.
The project success relied on KineticaRTs strengths in understanding the requirements of customers from a wide range of technology areas and implementing solutions based on commercial off the shelf hardware (COTS) and professionally designed, implemented and tested software.
|Aero Engine Test Facility -
Flexible COTS Pressure Measurement System|
KineticaRT recently designed and implemented a pressure measurement system for a state-of-the-art aero engine test facility; it uses individual Keller 33X digital pressure transmitters and a commercial off the shelf data acquisition system. The data acquisition system not only offers high speed RS485 communication for the collection of pressure values at 50Hz but also high accuracy thermocouple measurement as well as miscellaneous voltage, current and frequency inputs.
Also integrated into the system are interfaces for MIL-STD-1553 aircraft buses, a dual redundant throttle controller, and multi-camera pan and tilt CCTV and site wide intercom systems, both over IP.
KineticaRT's customer used the .NET Rapid Application Development tool, KineticaRT Studio, to develop all the control, data acquisition and automated test software.
Struck USB to VME interface|
This product comprises a software driver for a Struck Innovative Systeme GmbH SIS3150USB USB to VME interface card.
The interface was required to interface data between the VME bus of an aerospace gas turbine dynamometer controller and control and display software on a Windows XP based PC. The card connects to the PC via a plug and play USB interface.
The driver software comprises a multithreaded .Net component written in C# and has interfaces allowing for drag and drop type installation into KineticaRT control and display software.
Full error handling is included to cater for disconnection/reconnection of the USB cable and disconnection/reconnection of power on the VME side of the interface.
The interface supports in excess of 128 data channels operating at a 50Hz update rate.

Audio over IP Intercom for an Engine Test Facility|
An intercom and public address system was required for a large engine test facility. KineticaRT selected BARIX Audio over IP hardware modules because they could be integrated seamlessly into the test facility control and data acquisition system. In addition to the BARIX audio equipment, the complete system includes a number of PCs, data acquisition modules, PLCs and a video over IP CCTV system - all connected via Ethernet.
