This option cancels edit mode.
While in edit mode you can drag controls around with the mouse, select them, resize them using the displayed edit handles, right click on the control to display its edit menu and access it properties etc. etc .
When not in edit mode mouse actions operate the control normally; e.g. dragging on a dial may move the needle and change the value of the channel it is attached to.
This saves the panel settings and the settings / properties of all controls on the panel to the panel file. Closing the application does not save to the panel file since the user is allowed to modify the displayed controls, add extra displays, change displayed channel etc during normal use and these changes may not require saving.
This undoes the last change made to the panel.
It is actually a multi-level undo which may undo all changes back to the last save or back to the point when you last entered edit mode.
