Case Study: Ford Hot Test Cells Use KineticaRT

Froude Consine, one of the UK's top test equipment companies specializing in the manufacture of dynamometer and engine test systems, used KineticaRT as the basis for the development of the Hot Test cells at Ford's Bridgend Plant.

Froude has been successfully using KineticaRT software since 1995. KineticaRT V4, designed specifically for Windows NT, continues to demonstrate its flexibility as one of the world's fastest PC based online configurable display and control software packages and is a true 32-bit multi-threaded implementation.

Using KineticaRT has allowed Froude's engineers to develop the ideal user interface through extensive prototyping whilst offering exceptional functionality and flexibility.

The success of Froude's Texcel V6 product, which was designed around KineticaRT and Microsoft Excel, led to the development of the product for hot testing the Zetec engine. Froude has upgraded around 20 production hot test cells at Ford's engine plant in Bridgend.
