KINETICART COMPONENTS.CONTROLS.DISPLAY

The KineticaRT Display is fast, easy to configure and supports live update. You can embed it straight into your application and the flexible look-and-feel makes it ideal for virtual control panels and data entry applications.

OVERVIEW

The KineticaRT Display is a real-time multi-threaded control that can be embedded straight into your application or onto a KineticaRT Frame component to allow run-time user configuration.

As with other KineticaRT controls width and height are configurable, and in this case the font face and style can be configured.

The text display can be oriented in different directions - up, down, left or right.

A percentage bar can be displayed.

In its input form it can display numerics, text, time and date formats also the results of KineticaRT expressions.

When used as data entry, the data can be validated on entry to check for minimum and maximum values and allowed entries and formats.

The percentage bar can also be used for input by click or drag and spin buttons can be configured.

The Destination property allows the content of the control to be sent to another component or channel.

APPLICATION STORY

This picture shows part of a result page for some of the tests for a missile guidance unit, showing readings from a digital multimeter switched by KineticaRT Knob components.

Display components are used in many ways, the simplest being text labels shown here as box headings, descriptions and units. Some of the different font sizes and styles are shown along with flat and indented background styles.

Thresholds are used to control background color changes, shown here to distinguish between pass and fail criteria specified for each test.
