This picture shows part of a virtual control panel using knobs and other KineticaRT components to control a Pickering 10-921-001 Switch Module. The customer uses this control panel as part of an Automated Test Equipment rig for testing aeronautical guidance systems. The knobs are used with thresholds, linking to other logic components, to form a value selector switch to initiate separate control sequences which open or close selected relays or relay banks. These particular relays link to a HP 34401 Digital Multimeter to perform various 4-wire resistance measurement. (This Multimeter is itself controlled from another virtual control panel using similar knobs to select its input requirements and data logging.) These knobs can be used manually, but during the main test sequence they are controlled by their Source property being set from the sequence, and their Destination property being used to form the selection. |
