KINETICART COMPONENTS.SERVERS.SIMULATE

The KineticaRT Simulate components provide simulated real-time data. Outputs include values such as sine waves and noise.

	Sinewave generator

	Provides reliable waveform test data

OVERVIEW

Simulated inputs are useful for testing and demonstrations. The KineticaRT simulation components are used in most of the KineticaRT demonstrations.

Most of the simulation components have properties for generating more interesting data. For example the sinewave simulator has period and phase properties so that several sine wave channels can be set slightly out of phase with each other or to different periods.

APPLICATION STORY

This picture shows the output of the SineArray component being displayed on a BarGraph display in the KineticaRT BarGraph demonstration. The SineArray is generating an array of 50 sine waves each with a phase offset from the previous one of 0.03.
