4th MIRA International Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference

The 4th MIRA International Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference took place at the Heritage Motor Centre, Warwick, UK on 16-17 October 2002

16-17 October 2002

KineticaRT's stand at MIRA's 4th Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference seemed to be a magnet for wind tunnel operators and software engineers.

The focus of attention was a live demonstration of KineticaRT Wind Studio, running back-to-back with a PC based wind tunnel simulator.

Visitors were able to see the supervisory control and data acquisition software operating much as it would in a real wind tunnel environment, complete with processing of measured results delivered by the simulator.

A number of detailed demonstrations were given to visitors from a number of F1 teams as well as from other automotive wind tunnels.

Some of the demonstrations of Wind Studio held the attention of visitors for more than two hours and illustrated the depth and breadth of the product

Some of these demonstrations held the attention of visitors for more than two hours and illustrated the depth and breadth of the Wind Studio product.

The ease with which the system can be reconfigured by the customer seemed to be a key advantage over other available off-the-shelf software.

"Its better than anything else we've looked at" was one visitor's comment.

"We couldn't produce anything like this in-house" was another.
