Photo-Scan is one of the leading UK CCTV companies, recognized in particular for their innovative system design
and ability to integrate a wide range of surveillance technologies.
Investment in CCTV in town centres and shopping centres has been boosted following the £17 million investment
by the Home Office and there is also a growing need for individual retail stores to have their own in-house systems
as part of their overall loss prevention strategy.
The high speed, online configurable display and control package, which drives Photo-Scan's point of sale monitoring system, Epos-Scan, is driven by our human machine interface software KineticaRT.
In this application, the fully integrated computer based monitoring and response system has been designed to combat internal theft and till point errors made by staff.
KineticaRT was selected because of its ability to meet Photo-Scan’s requirements for true online configurability
and ease of expansion as the number of till points or surveillance areas are increased.
Other important features include KineticaRT’s ability to talk to a variety of data acquisition hardware,
its high quality graphics and 'video in a window' option, together with the capability to build in variable alarms.
The system has been successfully installed and operated in a number of leading retailers
including Bhs and House of Fraser.
