The system collects live data from tunnel and model sensors and displays them to the operator. Derived data, the results of arithmetic, logical and statistical expressions, are also displayed. The system also compares live sensor and derived data with limit values and displays warning messages. There is a multi-level message priority scheme. Each priority can be configured to take a sequence of automatic actions (marking the results file, aborting a step, emergency stop, etc.) This "smart" monitoring system assists the operator in recognizing exceptional operating conditions that might lead to more severe problems or inaccurate results. Some examples of "smart" monitoring follow: | Totalising of road belt run time | | Wheel slip | | Wheel bearing friction | | Pre and post zero mismatch | | Standard deviation of logged data over limit | |
